System for production of residual material derived from municipal solid waste “AEOLUS”
The “AEOLUS” system is the complete, future-oriented solution for the treatment of municipal solid waste with a view to the optimum use of energy and the resources contained in the waste.
The modular technology consists of proven procedures comprising mechanica; treatment and sorting of waste, but it also includes pretreatment through pneumatic air classification in order to produce fractions.
The segments (modules) of the system’s technology were designed so as to allow the expansion of the system with additions (via interfaces) whenever this is necessary.
The key factors of technology are:
- The recovery degree of, ie. The amount and
- The quality of recovered materials
The selection and prioritization of all the above processes vary in each unit depending on the composition of household waste and the potential absorption of individual components from the local market.
By this way, the method of the system is characterized by flexibility and adaptability to the specific features of the unit installation area, which is also a significant advantage over other methods of waste utilization.
The “AEOLUS” system consists of the following subsystems:

2. Rotating Drying and Separation Unit of organic and inert materials up to 60 mm
3. Pneumatic air separator for materials classification and size control based on specific weight (heavy and light fraction)
4. Horizontal conveyor belt of hand sorting
5. Inclined cleated elevator of close type
6. Rotaru shredder crusher for the homogenization-smoothing of materials
7. Magnetic metal separator

- All the necessary mechanical equipment
- Control and programming central electrological panel: S Auto mode S Manual mode (by selection) S Indication of voltage and current S Emergency stop 5 Display of individual parts function via LEDs and section indication
Main metal construction properties – 5Watertight and airtight construction S Soundproof overlay S Robust metal construction with enhanced sides and floors S Multiple open able ports of controlled function, for easy access to the various stages
Necessary staff (8 hour operation) – Two (2) people and the necessary number for hand sorting.
