State-of-the-art vulcanization technology
The MDR 2000 Moving Die Rheometer from Alpha Technologies has become the global standard for vulcanization technology. Two directly heated, bic conical tool halves with low mass provide fast and accurate temperature recovery. The oscillating lower tool half eliminates the need for a rotor, as in the Oscillating Disk Rheometer (ODR 2000). This results in faster temperature recovery and greater data accuracy. The resulting torque is measured by a torque transducer in the upper tool half, ensuring that friction forces from bearings and seals no longer affect the torque measurement.
The torque signal is calibrated using a torsion spring rod with known values. This ensures long-term accuracy, repeatability, and reproducibility of the data. The unique closed chamber system enables above-average reproducibility and sensitivity to variations in the compound. Fast-responding temperature control is ensured by an optimized system. These properties, combined with a highly sensitive torque transducer and state-of-the-art microprocessor technology, offer the best in networking technology.
