The machine is ideally suited for rewinding thin materials, such as film or paper, into log rolls and subsequently cutting them to size.

A special feature of this machine is its ability to wind log rolls without a core. This means the rolls are wound onto themselves, which results in savings on both costs and weight.

The materials to be processed can have a width of up to 1,700 mm.

The winder is capable of operating at speeds of up to 300 meters per minute and maintains the selected speed consistently without interruption.

This is possible because the Olbrich winder creates a buffer during operation. This buffer is reduced at the moment when the winding process stops, the finished roll is cut off, and a new roll is started.
