The vertical lathe SC 1400 CC - SIEMENS, is built with a monobloc hammer made of special alloyed cast iron, type MECHANITE.
The mobile crossbar has rectified horizontal guides.
The lathe is equipped with a vertical support with a revolver head for 5 tool holders and a side support.
The main drive is provided by a 3-speed gearbox (transmission ratios 1:9, 1:3, 1:1) continuously adjustable, which is driven by a 75 KW electric motor and a SIMOREG electronic variator from SIEMENS.
The work and fast advances of the vertical support on the X and Z axes are realized by transmission with ball screws from STAR REXROTH and electromagnetic couplings TELCOMEC ITALIA.
The hydraulic unit is mounted on the drum and provides the following functions:
- Automatic gear change (1:1; 1:3; 1:9)
- automatic lubrication of the gearbox
- dynamic balancing of the vertical support
- locking and unlocking of the mobile crossbar on the baton guides
The hydraulic components of the power plant are imported from ATOS ITALIA. The centralized lubrication systems from the crossbar and work supports are made with AZETA ITALIA components.
The stroke limitation and safety systems are made with microswitch blocks from EUCHNER - GERMANY, which perform the following functions:
- stopping at a fixed rate with confirmation in the rate display
- protection against collisions and damage limits
For turning flat surfaces at constant speed, the electrical equipment is provided with the function V = K of cutting at constant speed.
The electrical panel and the mobile control desk are made with SIEMENS, EATON, SCHNEIDER components. The machine is automated with a programmable SIMATIC PLC S 7-300 from SIEMENS.
