JUNKERS FLUTEMAT: a CNC machine for highly flexible groove grinding. The FLUTEMAT is the perfect machine for creating grooves in various tool types.
For example:
• Application: Grinding 3 or 4 chip and flute grooves in HSS taps, milling cutters, and reamers.
• Workpiece diameter: Diameter from 2 to 16 mm.
• Clamping system: The thread tool is precisely fixed in a square clamping device and the tailstock center.
• In-process dressing: A CNC-controlled dressing unit is located directly behind the grinding spindle.
• Enormous speed: a cycle time of approx. 75 seconds for an M12 HSS tap.
• Design: The machine features a vibration-damping machine bed made of mineral cast.
• Control: Modern control technology via the company's own Erwin Junker Operator Panel (EJ-OP).
• Grinding media: Extremely durable CBN or diamond grinding wheels are used.
