Interesting MB Vario 814 D as a Maxi panel van with variable double cab: 6 seats or 2 seats and 2 sleeping berths, plus a living area with kitchen and WC/washroom in the center of the vehicle. The rear of the cargo area is equipped with a built-in shelf unit and workbench.

The vehicle features two additional hinged doors on the right side, with a partition wall separating the load compartment. This vehicle comes directly from the Federal Police and was custom-built by bodywork specialist Christian Miesen for use as a diver transport vehicle.

The bodywork has some rust damage on the later-added doors and hatches, but the sills and frame are clean and sound. For an additional charge, we can professionally repair the bodywork and, if desired, partially repaint it. Maintenance services and mounting of new tires can also be arranged through us.

We have already replaced the starter batteries and test-driven the vehicle—it drives very well. Engine, gearbox, and rear axle are dry.

A long rear axle with differential lock is installed, gear ratio 40:11 (I=3.636). With this setup, the Vario achieves 124 km/h (per documents)—it is not speed-limited.

Starting March 2028, historic registration is possible, reducing the vehicle tax to just €195/year.

Living area: 2 opposing seats, Truma hot water boiler, Cramer 2-burner gas stove, Electrolux refrigerator, chemical toilet and hand washbasin in wet room, storage spaces and cabinets throughout.

Repair packages available in our workshop (at additional cost):
1) Maintenance: incl. engine oil and brake fluid change, new drag link = from €900 incl. VAT
2) Tires: outdated, on request, 6 new 205/75 R22.5 124/122 M M+S tires incl. fitting = from €1,400 incl. VAT
3) Bodywork: repairs under gas compartment and other hatches (L), under additional hinged door (R) and hatches (R) = from €4,500 incl. VAT
4) Paint polishing: exterior, all visible surfaces except middle of roof = €800 incl. VAT
5) TÜV inspection (HU/AU) and technical change of vehicle classification (currently still special police vehicle) = €450 incl. VAT
