The new cold-regenerating adsorption dryer from Parker Zander combines proven and reliable elements of adsorption technology
and impresses with its clear design.
Key features of the K-MT series adsorption dryers, such as:
• one-piece adsorber profiles
• separately controlled main and discharge valves in a leak-free design
• compact check valve combination, guarantee continuous operational reliability and high availability.
All K-MT series adsorption dryers feature:
• self-cleaning screen trays on the wet side
• high-quality desiccants
During adsorption, the desiccant stores the moisture contained in the compressed air.
Parker Zander uses exclusively highly active, high-capacity molecular sieve desiccant.
This desiccant guarantees a long service life at high inlet temperatures or low pressure dew points.
Regeneration takes place in the opposite direction to adsorption.
A portion of the dried compressed air is depressurized to atmospheric pressure and passed through the desiccant bed to be regenerated.
The moisture stored during adsorption is carried away with the partial flow of dry regeneration air.
The regeneration air requirement of 14.3% for cold-regenerated adsorption dryers is based on:
Operating pressure 7 bar
Inlet temperature 35°C
Pressure dew point -40°C
for a cycle with:
- 5 minutes of adsorption
- 4 minutes of desorption
- 1 minute of pressure build-up
The Parker Zander 10-minute cycle, with 5 minutes of adsorption, includes 12 load cycles per hour.
The standard 6-minute cycle, with 3 minutes of adsorption, requires 20 load cycles per hour and therefore inevitably 5.6% more regeneration.
The Parker Zander 10-minute cycle saves energy costs with reduced wear.

It allows for highly effective adaptation of the adsorption dryer to even the most diverse operating conditions.
