X-RAY DETECTOR

Specially designed for products in glass jars, glass bottles, tin cans, cartons, and plastic containers.
This detector is suitable for tracking and rejecting various types of contaminants (high density).

The minimum detectable size largely depends on the container type, its shape, and the type of product contained:
• Glass fragments as small as 3x3x3 mm (glass within glass)
• Metal fragments (iron, steel, copper, etc.) from 1x1x1 mm
• Stones and bones from 3x3x3 mm
• Some plastics and rubbers depending on their composition and relative density.
The effectiveness of the inspection, as well as the minimum detectable defect, is proportional to the minimum number of false rejects, which in RAYTEC systems is considered to be 7 in every 10,000 inspected products.

In addition to foreign body detection, it is also possible to monitor:
• Container shape and conformity (e.g., dents or deformations)
• Fill level
• Easy open tab on tin cans
