The DDT Feed System: Double Dynamic Transport
Two clamps ensure continuous workpiece transport. The operator feeds the workpiece up to the stop. Both clamps grip the workpiece and position it precisely. During machining, the clamps communicate with each other so that clamp #2 holds the workpiece before clamp #1 releases it. This ensures a constant feed rate even during linear milling operations.
- Laser measurement for detection of workpiece start and end.
- Measured values can be incorporated into and used to adapt the respective program.
- Side stops with rollers, consisting of a fixed and a movable part, equipped with a mechanical digital indicator for automatic alignment to the zero stop, allowing a material removal of 1 mm up to 3 mm along the zero line.
- Constant lateral pressure device for precise positioning at the zero line.
