We offer the Vortex D2 Duo – a fully automatic cook, quench & chill machine designed for the continuous and repeatable cooking, quenching, and chilling of food products.
This solution features a DUO design, in which the cooking section is mounted on a separate frame from the quenching and chilling sections, ensuring a very high level of separation between high-temperature and low-temperature processes.
The Vortex D2 Duo model was developed primarily for processing short and long pasta, but thanks to its versatility, it is also ideal for products such as rice, noodles, legumes, grains, vegetables, potatoes, and seafood. As a result, the machine can operate in both pasta and ready-meal production facilities, as well as in modern convenience food plants and among producers of salads and chilled components.
The Vortex D2 Duo has a capacity ranging from approximately 250 kg/h to 4000 kg/h, allowing the system to handle both medium and very high production volumes.
The Vortex is equipped with a programmable Vortex water flow system, which ensures uniform cooking, cooling, and chilling of each product batch. This system minimizes clumping, product damage, and yield losses, and its highly efficient cooling typically achieves a product temperature of approximately 3°C.
The Vortex D2 Duo can operate with conveyor feeding or with automatic batch loading of product into containers, which facilitates precise control of throughput and process organization. Additionally, vibrating dewatering conveyors enable operation in both batch and continuous modes, allowing the line to be easily adapted to subsequent production stages such as mixing, dosing, packaging, or final cooling.

Also noteworthy are design solutions that enhance process quality and hygiene, such as hydraulic basket lifting, shell-and-tube heat exchangers, double degreasing overflows, and specially shaped water tanks.
