"Measurements using X-ray tomography for production and inspection room
The transmission tube—used here for the first time in a monoblock design—enables a small focal spot even at high tube power, allowing for rapid measurements at high resolution. The monoblock design for the tube, generator, and vacuum system has also been implemented as an open construction for the first time. This results in extended maintenance intervals and a theoretically unlimited service life. Application areas include 3D measurement of connectors, plastic housings and covers, 3D printed workpieces, packaging materials, PET bottles and preforms. The TomoScope® XS (utility model) can also be used for tool correction. Measurements taken on the workpiece allow for verification of both tool functionality and wear. Workpieces can be inspected for indications of tool breakage and burr formation, for instance."
